The beautiful Monika Radulovic is
this year’s Miss Universe representative from the “Land Down Under” who will
vie to be the successor of Paulina Vega, the Miss Universe 2014 titleholder. Monika
was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2015 on June 5, 20115; thus giving her the
chance to compete in the highly anticipated Miss Universe 2015 pageant. She
will compete against stunning and witty ladies from other countries in order to
bring home the most coveted title among beauty queens.
Monika is a model aside from
being a pageant titleholder; she was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina but grew up
in Australia. Her family came to Australia as refugees during the Bosnian War
when she was just four years old; her parents are of Bosnian Serb ethnicity.
She finished her college degree
at the University of Western Sydney where she graduated with honours in
Psychology. On the matter of her identity, she stated: "A very important
thing [for my parents] was to assimilate to the Australian culture; we are so
grateful and proud to be Australian."
Monika competed in Miss Universe Australia 2015 on June 5, at Sofitel on Collins in Melbourne. She represented
New South Wales and that was her second time in the competition after her stint
on Miss Universe Australia 2014 where she finished as 3rd runner-up.
This year, she finally won the title of Miss Universe Australia 2015, she
bested 35 contestants.
Now, Monika is set to compete in
Miss Universe 2015 which will take place on December 20, 2015 at Las Vegas,
