There’s only one week left before
the highly anticipated Miss Universe
2015 coronation night will takes place. Everyone must be excited for it
since Paulina Vega from Colombia will finally crown her successor at
the end of Miss Universe 2015
pageant on December 20. There are many ladies from all over the world who will
compete to be the next Miss Universe
titleholder and one of theme is Ariana Miyamoto from Japan.
Ariana is 21 year old beauty
pageant titleholder from Nagasaki, Japan who was crown Miss Japan 2015 and will
represent the Land of the Rising Sun in Miss
Universe 2015. She stands at 1.73 m (5 ft 8 in) with black hair and brown
eyes. She is the first mixed-raced woman to be Miss Japan and because of that,
she faced some criticism on social media for not appearing to be Japanese. Her
mother is Japanese while her father is an African American who was stationed at
a US Navy base in Sasebo.
She migrated to United States at
the age of 13 to live with her father in Jacksonville, Arkansas. There, she
attended Jacksonville High School for two years before her return to Japan
where she worked as a bartender.
Ariana won the title of Miss Nagasaki 2015 and represented her
prefecture at Miss Universe Japan.
She was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2015
on March 12, 2015 at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo with Miss Oita and Miss Chiba
as her runners-up. This makes her the official representative of Japan in the
upcoming Miss Universe 2015 pageant to be held on December 20 at Planet
Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
